  4. It took forever reading all of these titles == (is that text language?) Well, out of all of these books there's really only one that I like. Esperanza Rising (book level 5.3) would be a little too emotional for some people, but its really good. Esperanza, the main character, used to live on a rich ranch with lots of land. Then, her father is killed by bandits. Esperanza moves from Mexico to California and has to endure the hard work of "poor" people.

  54. Hatchet/ Dragonwings: Okay, I hope Im not insulting anybody with this, but I ABSOLUTELY DESPISED these two books. Im not even going to sugar coat it. They were downright horrible. I do not reccomend Hatchet to anybody, it was the most dragged-on, dry, no action, no interesting storyline book I have ever read in my life, excluding a math text book......maybe. Nothing happened of interest, it was all 'Now Im hungry, Now I have to make a fire, now Im hungry again, now I have to build a shelter, now Im hungry and i've found slightly edible food, etc.' It gets boring after three chapters.
Dragonwings was slightly better, it actually had a story line worthy of being a story line. There was something there that might make a select few keep reading, although I have to say that the events were too predictable comparing to suspense being held for them. In other words, there was little value in reading it because you pretty much already knew what was going to happen next, in most cases. I do not reccomend it.

By the Great Horn Spoon!- This was a great book as far as realistic fiction goes. It might not have too much action in it, but when it did, it was unexpected and suspensful. I liked it. On a scale of 1-10, it ranks an 8.

The Cat Ate My Gym Suit- i surprisingly liked this book. It's a believable story, but I have to admit that its not the most exciting you'll ever read.

Flush- I had to attempt to read this about 3 times before I got past the 18th page, but when I did, it was pretty good. If youve ever read hoot, Flush is basically the same thing. On a scale of 1-10, 8.7 .

I also reccomend The Tale Of Emily Windsnap. Its not on the list, but I enjoyed reading it.

  57. The book,"The Tale of Desperoux." was a very good book. I thought it was very cute how such a small mouse fell in love with a princess. And his name sounds so pretty, his little ears are just adorable! The book really showed a lot of bravery. I liked how it was separated into four books. So you got the feel of what four different people were thinking and feeling. This book was very well written and I highly recomentd it!!!
